The exhibition presents a new collection of hand-dyed and sewn linen canvases inspired by Bartone’s botanical and archival research, specifically considering histories of Italian national identity.
The Open House will honor International Women's Day with traditional acacia flowers for guests to wear.

Sarah Shepard Gallery is delighted to host an opening reception of Ribbon Rack, a solo exhibition of work by Bay Area-based artist Lauren Bartone. Ribbon Rack presents a new collection of hand-dyed and sewn linen canvases inspired by Bartone’s botanical and archival research.
The opening with the artist will take place on Thursday, March 6th, 5:00-7:00pm, with remarks at 6:30. The exhibition will be on view March 6th - April 19th.
